DOmino’s Homemade
We were all stuck at home, so we made a commercial there.
With 2020’s COVID conundrum, we had to get creative about production to keep work flowing out the door. We created spots on Zoom and found ways to repurpose old footage until we decided to just start shooting work ourselves. So, because everyone was stuck at home, we decided to shoot a spot from ours. Our creative director offered up his home as a location and his daughters as a cast, and we got to work creating the sets and props. We shot the low-budget spot on an iPhone, and I directed.
We didn’t stop there though. We had so much fun making something together that we decided to encourage the rest of home-bound America to do it too, with the Domino’s Homemade Film Festival.

Anyone who submitted their home movie at dominosfilmfest.com was considered in our selection of finalists. The public voted on their favorite, and the winner got a year’s worth of family pizza nights.
