Yet another writer who put photography in their portfolio.
I’ve been shooting film photography as a hobby since I was in college, and sometimes I use it for things like this. My pals Dexter and Hayley Carpenter write music together under the name Wally, and for their latest album, they asked if I would shoot their record cover and promotional images. The entirety of the record was written and recorded in their small Denver apartment, so I captured them in the neighborhood places that inspired it. I also play drums with them during their live shows and am a guest vocalist on the album’s first track.
These photos were shot on 35mm Kodak Portra 400 film with a Contax G1.
